Aims and Scope
The Yearbook of UNWE is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the University of National and World Economy (Sofia). It is dedicated to disseminating high-quality research in the social sciences and selected multidisciplinary fields. The journal serves as an international platform for integrative scholarship that advances academic debate and enhances understanding of major socio-economic challenges at national, regional, and global levels, with particular emphasis on Eastern Europe.
The Yearbook welcomes theoretical, methodological, and empirical research addressing economic and social processes, institutional dynamics, governance, public policy, and sustainable development. Particular attention is given to comprehensive and in-depth studies, including conceptual and synthesis papers, broader comparative research, and large-scale empirical analyses that make substantial contributions to academic theory and practice.
Thematic areas covered by the journal include the following:
- Economics and Econometrics
- Business, Management, Finance and Accounting
- Public Policy, Governance, and Law
- Multidisciplinary topics and selected areas at the intersection of social sciences, computer science, and digital transformation
Each publication must be classified according to the JEL (Journal of Economic Literature) system.
All manuscripts are published in English to ensure global accessibility, increased research visibility, and broader dissemination. Submissions must be original, not previously published or under consideration elsewhere, and must adhere to high scholarly standards of quality and publication ethics.
