Authorship Policy

Authorship Criteria

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the research, the collection, analysis, or interpretation of data, or the preparation and critical revision of the manuscript.

All listed authors are required to take responsibility for the content of the manuscript and to approve its final version prior to submission. Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet the authorship criteria must be appropriately acknowledged.

Author Contributions

For manuscripts with multiple authors, the journal encourages authors to specify their individual contributions to the scholarly work. Authors may use CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) to describe their contributions, including roles such as conceptualisation, methodology, investigation, data curation, formal analysis, writing, review and editing, supervision, or project administration.

Co-authorship and Author Responsibilities

All authors and co-authors must be informed of, and agree to the submission of the manuscript to the Yearbook of UNWE. Inclusion of individuals as authors without their knowledge or consent is strictly prohibited.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all information provided for authors and co-authors, including names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID iDs, is complete and accurate.

Corresponding Author

The corresponding author is responsible for all communication with the journal during the submission, peer review, and publication processes.

The corresponding author must ensure that all listed authors have approved both the submitted and final versions of the manuscript, and that complete and accurate information for all authors is provided in the journal's online submission system.

Changes in Authorship

Any request to add or remove an author, or to change the order of authors after submission, must be justified and communicated to the Editorial Team.

Such changes require the agreement of all authors involved. Requests for changes in authorship after acceptance of the manuscript will be considered only in exceptional and duly justified circumstances.

ORCID iD Requirement

All authors and co-authors are required to have an authenticated ORCID iD. The ORCID iD must be authenticated through the journal's online submission system and will be published alongside the author's information.

Authors using the journal's online system for the first time must complete their profile information and authenticate their ORCID iD through ORCID. Upon manuscript submission, authors must ensure that an authenticated ORCID iD is associated with each author and co-author listed.

Authors who do not possess an ORCID iD may register for one free of charge through ORCID.

Author Identification and Accountability

The information provided during submission is used to ensure accurate identification of authors and proper attribution of published research. Authors are responsible for maintaining up-to-date information in their profiles and for notifying the Editorial Team of any relevant changes during the editorial process.

Submission of a manuscript to the Yearbook of UNWE constitutes acknowledgement by all authors of their responsibility for the work and agreement to comply with the journal's authorship, publication ethics, and editorial policies.
