Aims and scope
Research Papers of UNWE is a peer-reviewed scientific journal of the University of National and World Economy (Sofia). The journal publishes scholarly research in economics, business, and related applied social sciences, and accepts submissions in both Bulgarian and English.
The journal prioritises analytical and empirical studies that advance scientific knowledge, effective governance, and sustainable development. Its mission is to promote international and interdisciplinary scholarly dialogue that supports informed decision-making and sustainable development.
The journal serves as a publication platform for both early-career and established researchers, with particular emphasis on studies that integrate multiple disciplines. It encourages analytical approaches at the intersections of public administration, law, and economics, as well as information technologies and business. All papers must adhere to the JEL classification system (American Economic Association: JEL Guide).
The journal welcomes contributions in the following domains:
- Economics, business and management
- Economic analysis, modelling and applied methods in the social sciences
- Governance, administration, law and public policy
- Information science and artificial intelligence for economic, business and governance
- Business communication and linguistic studies in economic contexts
- Social sciences – interdisciplinary research
Submissions should demonstrate conceptual clarity and methodological rigour. Manuscripts must be original, not previously published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere, and must meet scholarly standards of quality and ethics.
