Research Papers of UNWE supports transparency, accessibility, and responsible management of the research data underlying published research findings.

Data Availability

Authors submitting manuscripts that include data from empirical studies should provide a Data Availability Statement during submission, indicating whether and under what conditions the data supporting the study's findings are available.

Depending on the circumstances, the statement may indicate the following:

  • the data are openly available in a public or institutional repository;
  • the data are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request;
  • the data cannot be made publicly available because of legal, ethical, contractual, confidentiality, or data-protection restrictions;
  • the study is based on publicly available data, with the relevant sources clearly identified;
  • all data supporting the study's findings are included in the article and/or its supplementary materials; or
  • data availability is not applicable because no new data were generated or analysed as part of the study.

When research data are deposited in a repository, authors should provide the relevant persistent identifier or link and cite the dataset where appropriate.

Research Data Sharing

The journal encourages authors to make the data supporting their research findings available whenever this is legally, ethically, and practically feasible. Public deposition of research data is encouraged but not required for publication.

Authors are not required to make data publicly available if confidentiality or personal data protection requirements, contractual obligations, third-party rights, ethical considerations, or other legitimate restrictions limit access. Indicate these restrictions in the Data Availability Statement.

Research Transparency and Reproducibility

Authors should describe data sources, data collection procedures, analytical methods, and software used with sufficient clarity to enable the research process to be understood and, where applicable, reproduced.

The Editorial Board may request access to underlying data, analytical code, questionnaires, or other research materials where necessary to assess the integrity and scientific validity of a submitted or published work. Materials provided for editorial assessment will be treated confidentially.

Authors' Responsibility

Authors are responsible for the lawful use of research data and for complying with confidentiality and personal data protection requirements where such data are used in the research.
