Technology and eco-innovation are the two most powerful pillars in the accelerated development of the green economy. The aim of the present study is to analyze the measures that public authorities should take to accelerate the ecological transformation of production and to stimulate market realization of eco-efficient innovations. The traditional methods of induction and deduction, the historical and logical approach are used. The conclusion is that, in order to meet these challenges, profound structural transformations are required both in the technologies used so far and to a great extent in the use of new, technology-relevant technologies, innovations and the creation of new products and services that guarantee the possibility of sustainable development.References
